Avant de créer bluenove en 2008, Martin a pendant sept ans chez Orange développé et piloté un ensemble de projets et services innovants, la plupart en partenariat avec des startups dans le domaine du mobile, du Web2.0 et des contenus numériques. Entre 2001 et 2003 il a dirigé l'incubateur Inventmobile d'Orange en prenant des participations dans des sociétés comme Mobivillage. Entre 2003 et 2006 il a lancé des projets pilotes innovants comme le bracelet Columba pour les malades d'Alzheimer et dirigé l'activité Musique Mobile au sein d'Orange France. De 2006 à 2008 pour les services Web2.0 d'Orange Labs, il a développé le 'Orange Start Up Programme' pour faciliter les partenariats avec des startups dans le domaine du mobile & web 2.0.
